Reports to parents and office records shall be expressed in letter grades, which describe the quality of student achievement. The following guidelines must be used to determine letter grades:

Grading Definition

A+ 98-100	B+ 87-89	C+ 77-79	D+ 67-69	F = Below 60 (failing)
A 93-97	B 83-86	C 73-76	D 63-66	F- = Below 50 (failing)
A- 90-92	B- 80-82	C- 70-72	D- 60-62

Grade Quality Points:

A+ 4.33	B+ 3.33	C+ 2.33	D+ 1.33	F = 0
A 4.00	B 3.00	C 2.00	D 1.00	F- = 0
A- 3.66	B- 2.66	C- 1.66	D- 0.66

The system by which you arrive at a student's grade should be logical and defensible. You are required to explain your grading system to your class on the first day of school (tests, quizzes, homework, daily class grade, projects, etc.). A copy of this system of grading should also be included in your grade book.

Teachers are required to use the computerized gradebook. Teacher’s grading practices for the year are due in the principal's office by the first day of school.
