Souderton Area High School is currently developing dual credit options with Montgomery County Community College.

College Credit for Advanced Placement Courses
Students who earn an A in any Advanced Placement course taught at Souderton Area High School may receive three college credits in the corresponding college course through Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) if they enroll at MCCC and complete six credits there. (Those credits may be earned on campus or through online courses.) Students who participate in this option do not need to take the Advanced Placement Exams in order to receive these credits, nor do they have to pay for the credits.

Credits earned in this manner may transfer to other colleges and universities throughout the country. For additional information regarding this opportunity and the colleges that will accept these credits, students should see their guidance counselors.

Please note: students who wish to attend highly selective universities should correspond with their chosen schools to determine if MCCC credits will be accepted. When in doubt about having MCCC credits transfer to a university, students should plan to take the Advanced Placement Exams.
