Four Special Trips for Everyone Attending Camp These Days!!!
(No additional charge for these four trips - cost included in camp fee)
For grades K-6
Trips will be featured throughout the summer at each day camp. Four trips
are included in the cost of camp & every camper in attendance those days
will attend at no additional charge. Other trips require special registration
and there is an additional charge to attend. There are registration limits on
all trips, so register early to avoid disappointment.
Safari Trip Week is Week 9 (Aug. 11-15) of day camp.
ALL CHILDREN registered this week will go on trips. No one stays at the camp site this
week. The cost of SAFARI WEEK trips & lunch is included in your camp fee.
Children travel by TSI school buses with professional drivers to the locations we visit.

Depart from camp: 12:30p.m.
Return: Approximately 4:30p.m.
Every summer we spend an afternoon enjoying a special feature (chosen
just for our group) at the restored Grand Theatre in East Greenville, PA.
Every day camper attending camp this day will go to see a full-feature film
while munching on popcorn and other traditional movie snacks. The movie
we see will be announced in day camp the week before we go. Bring your
spending money to purchase your movietime treats.
Kutztown Pennsylvania German Folk Festival

Depart from camp: 8:30a.m.
Return: 4:00p.m.
Everyone participating in Day Camp on July 1st will travel to Kutztown, PA
for the Summer Folk Festival featuring PA Dutch folk life and fun.
Children will delight in live entertainment at the Children's Farmyard,
Theatre, Puppet Shows, and sing-a-longs. There are dozens of folk artists
and traditional American craftsmen who will be working and exhibiting
their wares. There will be live music, fiddlers, folksingers, and country
dancers to see, as well as exhibits about early farming, gardening, herbs,
old-fashioned clothing, quilts and legends. A traditional "family-style" PA
Dutch dinner is included. There is no extra charge for this trip.
Bus will depart from camp at 8:30a.m. and return by 4:00p.m.
PLEASE HAVE YOUR CHILD AT CAMP BY 8:00AM ON THIS DAY

Return: Approximately 4:30p.m.
One-Two-Three strikes you're out...if you don't sign up for day camp this
day! Travel with our group to see the Reading Phillies play an afternoon
game at their FirstEnergy Stadium in Reading, PA. We will have an early
picnic box lunch before the game begins, then spend the afternoon cheering
for the team. The Phillie Phanatic is expected to make a guest appearance.
So, put on your Phillies shirt and join the fun!

The word is "mum" and the suspense is growing as campers try to guess
where they are going this day. It will remain a surprise (we hope) until we
arrive at our location for some fun entertainment.
If parents want to know this destination in advance, inquire with the Day
Camp Director or the SACE office after the start of the summer program.
The date of this adventure will also be available by the start of camp.
We ask parents to keep this information confidential so as not to ruin the
surprise for the children.
Departure & return times will be announced in camp.

Campers will visit the following sites:
- Aug. 11 - PHILADELPHIA ZOO
- Aug. 12 - MINIATURE GOLF/MOVIES
- Aug. 13 - NEW HOPE & IVYLAND RAILROAD/MERCER MUSEUM
- Aug. 14 - BATTLEHSIP N.J./NATIONAL CONSTITUTION CENTER
- Aug. 15 - DA VINCI DISCOVERY CENTER/ICE CREAM STOP
Buses depart at approximately 8:00AM and return by 4:30PM each day. Children should arrive at camp no later than 7:30AM this week. Safari Trip Week departs from FRANCONIA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL only.
