High School students have the opportunity to meet and question the country’s political leaders in Congress, the White House, in government offices and in foreign embassies as well as participate in lively discussions with their peers about current issues.
Presidential Classroom is a one week experience in Washington, D.C. for student leaders to explore the American political process on a firsthand basis. High School students have the opportunity to meet and question the country’s political leaders in Congress, the White House, in government offices and in foreign embassies as well as participate in lively discussions with their peers about current issues.
The Souderton-Telford Rotary Club began a partnership with Souderton Area High School in 1998 to provide scholarships to this program for our students. In 2002, Univest joined this partnership followed by the Souderton-Telford Business & Professional Women’s Club (BPW) in 2006. This community support is greatly appreciated.

HOBY is a youth leadership program for high school sophomores. The unique and highly interactive weekend introduces students to community leaders and seeks to enhance the student’s leadership skills. Last year 8,500 students attended HOBY Leadership Seminars throughout the United States. Sophomores may apply to be HOBY Ambassadors. One sophomore is selected from Souderton Area High School to represent Souderton as a HOBY Ambassador. This student attends at no cost. Applications are due by October 29th .
