Contract for Modified School Day to Attend

  • Must be a senior
  • Must be taking all classes/credits necessary for graduation at the high school
  • Must gain approval to register for courses at Montgomery County Community College from parents/guardians, Montgomery County Community College, the High School Director of Guidance and High School Principal at least one month prior to starting classes at M.C.C.C.
  • Student's high school schedule will not be red-arranged to accommodate courses taken at M.C.C.C. once the school year has started. Second semester courses will be evaluated if request is made at least one month prior to the beginning of the second semester. No full credit courses will be changed.
  • Students must be registered for at least 6.5 credits per year according to high school policy. Credits taken at M.C.C.C. will be assigned credit as follows: All semester courses at M.C.C.C., regardless of credit assigned by the college will be equal to one credit in order to fulfill the 6.5 credited necessary for each student.
  • Credits and grades earned at M.C.C.C. are not transferable to the Souderton Area High School and will not count towards graduation, class rank or G.P.A. All courses necessary for graduation must be taken at the high school.
  • Transportation to/from M.C.C.C is strictly the responsibility of the student.
  • Costs for, and related to, all courses at M.C.C.C. are strictly the responsibility of the student.
  • All students taking courses at M.C.C.C. who are requesting a modified school day at the high school must sign a release allowing the high school to verify enrollment in courses at M.C.C.C.
  • If the student fails to maintain 6.5 credits at any given time due to dropping a course at M.C.C.C., the student will be scheduled for a course(s) at the high school in order top fulfill the minimum 6.5 requirements.
