SAHS > Science Fair Winners
Students in the Souderton Area School District secondary schools have proven themselves excellent scientists as they competed at regional science fair competitions this year. In February, students competed at Cheltenham High School in the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science competition. Indian Crest Middle School students Sara Mack won third place, Maya Duncan-White and Micah Seagrist won second place, and Kerri Diamond and Avery Price won first place. Indian Valley Middle School students Neha Bhardwaj, Bryan Freedman, and Kyle Wetzler won second place, and Shreya Sisodia, Cara Plummer, Connor Gephart, Niara Savage, Hirsh Sisodia, and Erin Solomon won first place awards. Souderton High School students Alex Cross, John Herold, Shannon Paparella and Marissa Puppo won second place; and Matt Dille, Sarah Helpler, Caroline Pritchard, Devon James, Natalie Robertson, Emily Streams, and Pyan Willimas won first place awards.
In March, students participated in the Montgomery County Science Research Competition held at Montgomery County Community College. Indian Crest students Sara Mack and Avery Price won honorable mention awards, and Kerri Diamond won a 2nd place. Kerri also received Honorable Mention at the next level competition: the Delaware Valley Science Fair held in April. Indian Valley students Neha Bhardwaj, Bryan Freedman, Erin Solomon and Lauren Harkins received Honorable Mention. Hirsh Sisodia won first place in his category. Hirsh also won first place at the next level: the Delaware Valley Science Fair held in April. Souderton High School students Caroline Pritchard received Honorable Mention, P.J. Ryan received a third place award, Devon James received a second place and also a third place at the Delaware Valley Fair, Matt Dille, Marissa Puppo and Natalie Robertson received first place awards. Matt went on to receive a third place at the Delaware Valley Competition and Marissa received an Honorable Mention at this same competition.
On May 14, Souderton School District students will compete at the state PJAS competition, held at Penn State University in State College.
