SAHS > SAHS Receives Project 720 Grant

Souderton Area High School is the proud recipient of a Pennsylvania Department of Education Project 720 Grant in the amount of $65,590. Funds will be used for professional development, consultant fees, materials, and other activities that will support the implementation of Project Four, the plan for high school reinvention on which the high school community has been working for the past two years.

The successful implementation of the Project 720 Grant will transform SAHS into a place that provides not only a high quality education, but that also prepares, ensures, and empowers all students to achieve at high levels. As a Project 720 school, SAHS will be student-centered, results-focused, data-informed, and will personalize the entire learning environment, resulting in all students obtaining 21st century skills.

The Project 720 Grant will support and build upon the high school's work with Project Four. The high school faculty and administration, in partnership with post-secondary institutions and businesses, will work together, both on teacher in-service days and utilizing the daily team planning period, to design the six career pathways from which students may flexibly select. The learning community will, from the design of the career pathways, imbed program evaluation with data-based outcomes.

The SAHS staff will be up to the challenge of using the Project 720 funds to design the most competitive education for its students that the new high school facility will enable.
