Picture of Nick MarateoNick Marateo, a senior at Souderton Area High School, is the first Souderton student to beselected to the All-National Honors Choir. The All-National Honor Ensembles (ANHE) represent the top performing high school musicians in the United States. So much more than a musical ensemble; it is a comprehensive, musical and educational experience that will take place in November in Orlando, Florida. Nick will be a member of the Mixed Choir, conducted by Dr. Amanda Quist who is Associate Professor and Chair of the Conducting, Organ, and Sacred Music Department at Westminster Choir College of Rider University.

At Souderton, Nick is involved in Advanced Choir, Concert Choir, the Soudertones, Art & Soul Fest, and the school musicals. Last year, he auditioned for the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association Choir Festivals for the first time. In District Choir he ranked 1st Place, in Regions - 6th, and in All-States - 2nd. Those high rankings qualified him to apply for the National Association for Music Education All-National Honors Choir and he was accepted!
