All students must meet the following requirements:
- English: 4.0 Credits
- Social Studies: 4.0 Credits 1*
- Mathematics: 3.0 Credits
- Science: 4.0 Credits 2*
- Arts (Art, Music, & Theater): 1.0 Credit
- Phys. Ed.: 2.0 Credits 4*
- Health: 0.5 Credits 3, 4*
- Business: 1.0 Credit 4*
- Family and Consumer Science: 0.25 Credits
- Electives: 3.75 Credits
- Graduation Project: 0.5 Credits 4*
TOTAL CREDITS 24.0 Credits
* Comments
- 1 = Must pass 19th Century US History, 20th Century US History or AP US History, and Global Studies
- 2 = Must pass Biology/ Biology B - A fourth math credit may be substituted for the fourth science credit
- 3 = Must pass 11th Grade Health
- 4 = May be taken at North MontCo Technical Career Center
Promotion
Each student in grades 9 through 12 must carry a full schedule of at least 7 credits each year in order to be classified as a full time student.**
In order to graduate on time with your class, the following credits must be earned:
- Grade 10: One course in each of the following core subjects: English, American History, Math, Physical Science, and one additional credit in another subject area for a total of five courses
- Grade 11: Completion of at least 11 cumulative courses/credits
- Grade 12: Completion of at least 17 cumulative courses/credits. A student must be able to schedule all courses required for graduation in order to be placed in a Senior Advisory.
