Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Sciences

Congratulations to Julia Vizza. In the spring of 2022, Julia earned an acceptance to the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Sciences, a free, 5-week program hosted at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. The program is intended to empower talented Pennsylvania high-school students to pursue lifelong STEM endeavors inspired by a rigorous academic summer program that nurtures scientific thinking, scholarly collaboration, and interpersonal connections. 

Following the program, Julia created a poster of her team’s summer research on the effects of temperature on magnetism to share at The Drexel University Graduate School of Biomedical Science’s Discovery Day at the Convention Center on October 27th,2022.
