Student Spotlight Winners - Wellness, December 2024

  • Madelyn Benfield (9th)
Maddie is a model student. There is always a smile on her face, and she brings a positive presence to our class. Besides being an overall great person, her engagement and effort in class make her a phenomenal student as well!
  • Quincy Klimovich (9th)
In the short time I have had Quincy in class, he has been an absolute role model for others.  He is kind, easy-going, hardworking, and genuine.  He has demonstrated integrity more than once and has also proven to be honest and trustworthy.  I have truly enjoyed working with him and will be sad when the marking period ends.  It is a bright start for him at SAHS and I know he is going to go on and do great things.  I certainly hope that our paths cross again.

  • Willow Myers (10th)
Willow has a wonderful and positive attitude. Every day she had a smile on her face and brought an infectious energy into physical education class. Willow can connect with others in a unique way that makes others feel welcome and comfortable. She has a silly side that lightens the mood and embraces making activities fun and interactive. She is a dedicated student and athlete who works hard to be the best she can be. Willow is a joy to teach, and she will accomplish anything she puts her mind to!

  • Otto Brewer (10th)
Otto is an awesome young man to have around.  He has a positive attitude and personality that helps create a comfortable space for others.  He is always respectful and kind, taking time out of his day to stop in and see how I'm doing or just catch up. He is hard working and always does his best no matter what situation he is in.  I love that I had the opportunity to work with him and hope to have the chance to again.

  • Elizabeth Hinckle (11th)
Liz is a sweet, kind, and caring young lady. She puts forth effort every day and sets a wonderful example for all the students around her. In class, Liz is always challenging herself to be the best she can be but loves to have a good laugh as well. She always has a smile on her face and makes the most of every situation. Liz is involved in a variety of activities that contribute to the bright future she has ahead of her.

  • Will Lockwood (11th)
Having Will in class is a pleasure. He is on top of his work and always willing to engage in discussions and answer questions. He volunteers to help with gathering materials and is a positive leader in the classroom.

  • Kenia “Alejandra” Trochez Ortega (12th)
Alejandra is a teacher's dream.  Hard working, kind and polite, she gives her all in every assignment, project, and test.  The language barrier might slow her down, but she drives right through it.  She will excel in whatever the future holds for her.

  • Cameron Taylor (12th)
Cameron is a role model for all.  He is the epitome of student spotlight.  Loved by all unified students, he can be seen encouraging all with high fives, smiles, and laughter.  He connects with the students on a personal level, and they look forward to spending time with him each block.
