Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment

• Teaching Young Children (EDU 210)
• Genetics (Delaware Valley College)
• Principles of Management
• Nutrition and Lifetime Fitness (ESW 236)

11th and 12th grade students may take approved courses through Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) to earn credits toward their graduation requirements and college credit.

• Student may earn up to 3 high school credits toward SAHS graduation requirements.  No more than 1 credit can be counted toward the same core subject area.  For example, if a student took 3 social studies related courses at MCCC, one could count toward the student’s 4-credit social studies graduation requirement.  The other 2 credits would be elective credits.
• Dual credit/dual enrollment courses must be taken at the student's/parent's expense.
• Duel credit/dual enrollment credits count toward a student's Quality Points and will have 1.0 Weight.

Scheduling protocol

• Students must proceed through course selection, selecting SAHS courses to satisfy their graduation requirements.
• After the Master Schedule is established, with pre-approval from their counselor, students may register for dual credit/dual enrollment courses according to the guidelines above.
• Students registering in dual credit/dual enrollment courses may not impact SAHS sectioning/scheduling decision.
